Gautam Adani Becomes World’s 3rd Richest Person Surpassing Louis Vuitton Chief

Adani group’s chairman Gautam Adani has become the third richest man in the world, with a net worth of USD 137.4 billion, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI). Adani has surpassed Louis Vuitton chief Bernard Arnault, and is behind Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. Adani has also become the first Asian to break into the top three on BBI. Mukesh Ambani stands at the eleventh spot with USD 91.9 billion.

Adani Groups Issue Statement, Says SEBI Order Don't Apply To RRPR Over Shares Acquisition

After the halt of NDTV takeover under SEBI Act, the Adani Group led by Gautam Adani said, "RRPR is not a party to the SEBI Order dated 27th November 2020. Consequently, the restraints as pointed out by RRPR in paragraphs 111(b) and 112 of the SEBI Order do not apply to RRPR." The statement came as a counter to a letter issued by NDTV, stating SEBI prohibited aquisition by RRPR.

Adani Groups To Aqcuire 28% Stakes Of NDTV Media House

Adani Group is to buy 28% stake of NDTV.  AMG Media Networks Limited, a subsidiary of the Adani group, will indirectly acquire a 29.18% stake in NDTV.  After the expected acquisition, the company will launch an open offer for another 26% stake in the media house, confirmed AMG Media networks. The stake would be acquired under the requirements of the SEBI’s Regulations, 2011, paving way for Adani's in new-age media.

Maharashtra Govt-Adani Groups Sign MoU, Will Generate 11000 MW Green Power

Abu Dhabi-based International Holding Company will invest USD 2 billion in three green-focused companies of the Adani Group. Adani Acquires Mumbai Airport, Controls 33% Of India's Air Cargo

According to a press release, the Adani Group acquires Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) and will begin construction of the greenfield airport in Navi Mumbai. Adani owns a 74% stake in MIAL. Meanwhile, in addition to the six airports, Adani now possesses MIAL. The multinational conglomerate will control 25% of the passenger traffic and 33% of India's air freight, making it India's largest airport infrastructure company.

Three Foreign Funds Account Worth Rs 43,500 Crore Suspended

The National Securities Depository Ltd has suspended the accounts of three foreign funds that possess shares in four Adani Group entities, worth Rs 43,500 crore. According to a personnel at custodian banks, the accounts have been frozen due to an inadequate release of information under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. However, the accounts that has been freezed are Albula Investment Fund, Cresta Fund and APMS Investment Fund.

S&P Index To Delist Adani Ports, Cites Firm's Ties With Myanmar Military

India-based Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd will be delisted from S&P Dow Jones's sustainability index before April 15. The decision has been taken because of the firm's association with the human rights violation-accused Myanmar military. Reportedly, a $290-million port is being constructed by the company on the military-backed corporation land. However, the company has not issued any comment on the delisting yet.

Telangana: Adani Green To Acquire Sterling & Wilson's Solar Plant

Adani Green Energy Limited is all set to acquire 75-megawatt operating Solar Projects from Sterling and Wilson's Private Limited. The company will take over a 100% stake in the plants in Telangana through a deal worth Rs 446 crore. Recently, the group had bought a 50MW solar project from SkyPower Global. Reportedly, the acquisition will lead the AGEL to a renewable capacity of 3,470 MW.
