Afghanistan Flash Floods: Downpour Continues, 32 Dead & 20 Injured
In Afghanistan's Parwan province, as many as 32 people have lost their lives and over 20 other were injured due to flooding in Shinwari and Sia Gard districts. Heavy downpour and flash floods have wrecked havoc in Afghanistan, which have also damaged at least over a 100 houses. Also, the rains hage caused damages to thousands of acres of farming fields and dozens of gardens.

Vehicle Bomb goes Off In Afghanistan's Kabul; 4 Injured
In Afghanistan's Kabul, a bomb fitted to a motorcycle exploded near an electronic identity card centre, on August 13. The explosion left at least four injured, including two Islamic Emirate forces. The reason and source of the incident is yet to be determined. A week ago, three persons were killed and seven others were injured in a blast that occurred near Pul-e-Sokhta area in the west of Kabul.

Afghan Women Battle To Reclaim Lost Freedoms One Year After Taliban Return
Monesa Mubarez is fighting for Afghan women's rights against the Taliban government. There are no women in the Taliban government's cabinet, and the Ministry of Women's Affairs was closed. Despite the risk of being beaten and detained by Taliban members, she participated in various rallies. "We fight for our own freedom, we fight for our rights and status, we work for no country, organization or spy agency," told Mubarez.

Another Blast Reported In Afghanistan's Kabul
Yet another case of blast was reported in Kabul's Chandawal, on August 8. However, no casualties have been reported from the blast. The witnesses claimed that the blast was caused due to a magnetic mine that was placed in a public transport. The wounded have been admitted to Ibne Sine Chest Hospital, and so far, no one has taken responsibility for the blast. Further details are awaited.

Explosion Reported At Afghanistan Cricket Stadium, 4 Injured

Two Earthquakes Hit Afghanistan's North & Northeastern Regions; At Least 31 Injured
Afghanistan's north and northeast regions were hit by two earthquakes, on July 18. The earthquake left at least 31 injured, reported TOLO News. The injured have been admitted in hospitals. Reportedly, an earthquake of 5.1 magnitude on the richter scale jolted eastern Afghanistan, whereas an earthquake of 4.3 magnitude jolted northeastern past of Afghanistan. Barmal, Giyan and Zirok were the most affected districts.
