The Chambal flood has been a calamity for the Gohra hamlet in Agra's Bah tehsil, where 100 buildings have been wiped away. Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, dispatched a team of three ministers to examine the flooding situation. The villagers are surviving on higher ground in the river's ravines, famished in the lack of food and with no cover to shelter them from the sun's scorching beams.

In Uttar Pradesh's Agra, police have arrested a woman and three lawyers for allegedly extorting money from a man, after registering a fake rape case. Reportedly, during the investigation, it was revealed that it was not a case of rape, but a case of extortion. A search is underway for two other lawyers whose names popped up during the interrogation. Further details are awaited.

BJP MP Diya Kumari claimed that Shah Jahan captured a Hindu palace to build Taj Mahal. On May 11, Kumari said, the land in which Taj Mahal is built, belonged to a royal family from Jaipur. She further stated that they have documents in support of the claim, and are ready to furnish before any court, if necessary. "Shah Jahan liked it (the land) so he acquired it," said Kumari. 

Taj Mahotsav 2022 a 10-day cultural festival is all set to be held from March 20 to March 29 in Agra. The cultural festival is held every year and it is the most famous fair of craft, culture, art, and food with the theme Aazadi ke Amrit Mahotsav sang, Taj ke rang. Due to UP elections, the fair got postponed from February to March, said RK Rawat, UP Deputy Director. 

In Uttar Pradesh's Agra, 200 kg of silver and Rs 1 lakh cash were robbed by four robbers at gunpoint on the Agra-Gwalior highway on January 19 at 12:45 pm. Robbers robbed the silver and cash when it was transported by a courier company staffer. The robbers were in a car. The district's borders have been sealed and soon robbers will be arrested, ADG Rajiv Krishna told India Today.
