Centre Plans To Set Up 3 Lakh Primary Agriculture Cooperatives; Amit Shah

Home Minister Amit Shah on September 25 revealed that the Centre is planning to revolutionize the Agrarian economy by expanding the number of primary agriculture cooperatives upto 3 Lakhs. “We will work with all states to take forward the cooperative movement," said Shah during a meeting at the Talkatora Stadium. The meeting had an audience of 2,100 cooperative representatives and around 6 crore people connected virtually.

Milk and Egg Production in India Witnesses Growth

Country's First 'Kisan Rail' Hits Tracks On Maharashtra-Bihar Route

India's first 'Kisan Rail' train has been set forth on the route from Deolali in Nashik to Danapur in Bihar on August 7. The train will help in bringing perishable agricultural products to the market in a lesser duration, which will reduce the transport charges and support farmers in getting the right price for their crops. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar inaugurated the train service through video conferencing.
