In Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, PM Modi’s convoy stopped and made way for an ambulance to pass on September 30. PM Modi’s convoy stopped in one alignment on the side of the road, and paved way for the ambulance rushing to a hospital. Once the ambulance passed, the PM Modi’s vehicle and security vehicles joined formation and resumed to journey. Meanwhile, PM Modi is scheduled to announced upcoming road projects soon.

Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani Sent To 6 Months In Jail In 2016 Case
In Ahmedabad Metro Police court in Gujarat sentences Gujarat’s working president and MLA Jignesh Mevani and 18 others to six months of imprisonment in a 2016 case. The case pertains to a protest held in 2016, regarding change of name of a law building of Gujarat University. Mevani was reportedly lodged over his tweets against PM Modi. Currently, Mevani is out on bail.

AMC Suggest To Rename Medical College After PM Modi
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is planning to name its AMC MET medical college after Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Ahead of PM Modi's birthday, the committee decided to rename the college after him.The new name suggested for the college given by the AMC standing committee was brought up during the AMC committee meeting, held on September 15. A final decision in this regard is awaited.

Cyrus Mistry Death Case: Doctor Suggests Head Injury
Cyrus Mistry who was brought to a government hospital in Kasa, reportedly suffered head injuries, informed the doctor who attended him. Reportedly, former Tata Sons chairman rammed his car into a divider, was declared “brought dead” at the hospital. The Palghar police stated that the business tycoon was en route from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in his car. Meanwhile, of the four persons travelling in the car, two died on spot.

Road Accident: Family Of 5 Dead Dead As Car Collides With Truck Coming From Wrong Side
A car collided with a container truck on the Ahmedabad-Pune highway in the wee hours on August 17. The incident left five members of a family dead, who were travelling in a car, which collided with a truck coming from the wrong side. The incident occurred near Ranjangaon Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), at around 10:30 am.

Gujarat Riots Case: Ex-IPS Officer Sanjiv Bhatt Arrested
In connection to the Gujarat riots case, Ahmedabad police's crime branch arrested ex-IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt on July 13. Reportedly, Bhatt has been accused for embezzling funds and forging documents. Following the arrest, Bhatt was arrested on a transfers warrant, and has been taken over from Banaskantha jail. In 2019, Bhatt was sentenced to lifetime imprisonment in a 1990 custodial death case.
