Indian Air Force Develops Highest Moving ATC Tower In Ladakh
The world's highest mobile Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower has been set up at the Advanced Landing Ground in the eastern Ladakh region by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The ATC manages fixed-wing aircrafts and choppers which operate in the region. The IAF has also positioned the "Igla man-portable missiles" in the region for tackling aerial attacks. India is also thinking about constructing airfields near Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Flyer Tries To Open Emergency Exit Mid-Air On Delhi-Varanasi Flight
A Delhi-Varanasi flight on March 27 suffered a security scare after a passenger attempted to open the emergency exit mid-air causing disturbance on the flight. Reportedly, the passenger seemed mentally ill and the crew held him until the flight landed safely. According to SHO Phulpur, the pilot alerted the air traffic control and requested a priority landing after which the passenger was handed to the Central Industrial Security Force.

Indian Air Travels Slump by 54.84% Compared to Last Year
According to the data from DGCA, a total of 372 lakh passengers have traveled by air from January to July, 2020 which is 54.84% lesser than the number of passengers travelled last year in the same period. The domestic air passenger traffic has reduced by 82.3% to 21.07 lakh in the month of July. IndiGo continues to be the largest carrier with a market share of 60.4% in July.
