Gaganyaan Test Flight Successful, Crew Escape Module Touches Down

ISRO's unmanned test flight for its first human spaceflight mission'Gaganyaan' lifted off from Sriharikota, the first landmark in India's ambitious space mission. Saturday's rocket tested the emergency escape system of its crew module, which separated from the thruster and made a soft sea landing about 10 minutes after the launch. The mission is to test the efficiancy of the vehicle's crew escape system, which will used for astronauts.

Newly Inducted c295 Aircraft To Take Part In Air Force Day On Oct 8

The newly-inducted C-295 medium tactical transport aircraft is likely to take part in the upcoming Air Force Day celebrations in Prayagraj in UP, said officials on September 25. The annual Air Force Day parade and air display is on October 8. The first C295 aircraft was inducted into the IAF at the Hindon Air Force station in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari.

Aircraft Operating From Vizag-Mumbai Skids Off On Runway, Catches Fire, 8 Injured

A Bombardier Learjet private jet with 8 people onboard crashed landed and skidded off the runway at Mumbai airport on September 14,The mishap occurred at around 5.04 pm. Iranian Origin Plane Bound To Cross Indian Air Base Receives Bomb Threat, IAF Scramble To Intercept

The Union Civil Aviation received a bomb threat in an Iranian-origin aircraft, Mahan Air flight headed to Guangzhou in China from Tehran in Iran, scheduled to cross over the Indian airbase. Amid the threat, and refusal of landing in India, Indian Air Force Su-30MKI fighter jets from Punjab and Jodhpur airbases were scrambled to intercept the plane, which avoided landing. Moreover, the nature of the threat call is unclear.

India will give a Dornier maritime surveillance aircraft to the Sri Lankan Navy in a ceremony attended by President Ranil Wickremesinghe on August 15. Vice Admiral S N Ghormade, accompanied by Indian High Commissioner in Colombo Gopal Baglay, will hand over the maritime surveillance aircraft to the Sri Lankan Navy. Trainee Woman Pilot's Plane Crashes In Pune's Indapur Taluka

In Pune's Indapur taluka, a trainee aircraft crashed in a farm, confirmed concerned officials. The crash happened around 11.30 am, when Bhavika Rathod (22) a trainee pilot was flying an aircraft and lost control, leading to the crash. Furthermore, the officials confirmed no serious injuries to the pilot or the people in the area. Meanwhile, Bhavika was also shifted to Navjeevan Hospital for minor injuries.

Civil Aviation Minister Urges Airlines To Add Long-Haul Jets

The civil aviation minister on March 25, urged the Indian airlines to add more long-haul aircrafts and increase the flights abroad. During an air show in Hyderabad, Jyotiraditya Scindia stated that Domestic passenger numbers are expected to exceed pre-pandemic levels within one year. China Refuses Aircraft Supply To Russia Amid US Warnings

China has refused to send aircraft supplies to Russia, following warnings from the US. Indian Army's Aircraft Crashes At Gaya Training Academy, No Casualties Reported

An Indian Army aircraft crashed in Bihar's Gaya Training Academy, on January 28. Notably, the crash took place minutes after the take off, informed the Indian Air Force. "An aircraft of Indian Army's Officer's Training Academy in Gaya, Bihar, today crashed soon after taking off during training," said official. Notably, two pilots survived the crash. Earlier, an Indian Army Chopper crashed in Tamil Nadu, killing General Bipin Rawat.
