Russian Plane Receives Bomb Threat Lands In Delhi, CISF Launches Investigation
A Russian aeroplane received a bomb threat, following which the Indian Civil Aviation Department alerted at the Delhi Indira Gandhi International Aiport, On October 14, morning, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) received an e-mail warning of a bomb on the flight, with 386 passengers and 14 crew members, who were evacuated immediately. Furthermore, an investigation is also underway in this regard.

Jet Airways Owes Rs 3 Lakh To Each Employee As Settlement
Former employees of Jet Airways claim that the grounded airlines owe each employee Rs 3 lakh, while it has only offered Rs 23,000 as settlement. While the total settlement money stood at Rs 1,265 crore, the airlines have earmarked only Rs 52 crore for its employees. Reacting to the settlement proposal, one of the former employees who refused to reveal the identity, called the amount "peanuts".

Russian Flight With 29 People Goes Missing
In a bizarre incident, a Russian AN-26 airplane with 29 people on board has gone missing in the Kamchatka peninsula situated in the far eastern region of Russia, on June 6. Reportedly, the plane lost contact with air traffic control while attempting to land. While flying from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to Palana, the plane missed a scheduled communication. Further information regarding the incident is yet to be revealed.

Flight's Engine Caught Up In Flames Midair; Makes Safe Landing
In a horrific incident, a United Airlines flight's engine was caught up in flames on February 20 soon after taking off from the Denver international airport. Indonesian Plane Goes Missing After Take-Off; Rescuers Fear Crash
Minutes after taking off from Indonesia's Jakarta, a Sriwijaya Air Flight ‘SJ182’ with 62 people including six crew members being suspected of crashing into the sea on January 9 after losing its contact. Reportedly, the Boeing 737 heading to Borneo Island plunged from 10,000 feet altitude. While the search operation and investigation has been initiated, the rescue agency has speculated its debris in the sea north of Jakarta.

Flight Tickets Booked During First 2 Phase of Lockdown Will be Refunded: DGCA in SC
All flight tickets booked between March 25 and May 3 will be fully refunded by airlines, DGCA conveyed to the Supreme Court on September 6. It stated that non-refund of tickets and creating "involuntary" credit shell was a violation of Aircraft Rules (1937). Earlier, in June, the apex court had asked airline operators and the Centre to help customers by creating a credit shell with a validity of 2 years.

Air India Minimises Network, Halves Network with 5 European Cities
According to a statement issued by an official, Air India has halved its network with five European cities namely Milan, Copenhagen, Vienna, Madrid and Stockholm in order to survive economic losses incurred due to downfall in travel caused due to the pandemic. But the flight connectivity to London, Birmingham, Frankfurt, Paris and Rome in the EU and the UK is still on.
