Plane Crash In South China's Chongqing Injures 25 People

Passenger train crashed at runway in China, injuring 25 people after it caught fire while taking off. Happened on May 11, the flight was taking off from Chongqing Airport. The Tibet Airlines carrying 113 passengers and nine crew members. Furthermore, all the people on board were evacuated and injured were rushed to a hospital for treatment. As per sources, the cause of fire is yet to be known.

Sri Lanka's Oldest Airport To Start Operating International Flights

Sri Lanka's oldest and first airport has opened for international flights, from March 27. Tripura To Get 2nd Airport; Centre To Allocate Rs 500-600 Crore

Tripura is all set to get its second airport at Kailashahar, about 139 km away from the capital Agartala, in the Unakoti district. "People of Unakoti have been demanding for the airport for a long time and the central government is all set to fulfill their demands through this airport," CM Biplab Deb said. Meanwhile, the construction and related infrastructure development centre will release Rs 500 to Rs 600 crore.

Pune City Airport Terminal Construction By AAI Underway

The Pune airport terminal work taken by AAI at the cost of Rs 475 crore, is underway. Custom Department Seizes Gold Worth Rs 1.36 Crore At Hyderabad Airport

The Customs officials, at the Hyderabad Airport, seized 2175.800 grams of gold worth Rs 1.36 Crore. Gold Chains and paste have been recovered from a passenger who arrived from Dubai, on January 21. The valuable items were concealed in his hand-in bag and check-in luggage, recovered from the man during an interception by the officials. The Hyderabad customs department had put out a tweet sharing the details of the seizure.

Tow Tug Catches Fire At Mumbai Airport, Narrow Escape For Flight

A tow tractor in Mumbai airport suddenly burst into flames on January 10, at 10:46 am. An Air India Flight, AI-647 was being readied to depart for Jamnagar, fire broke out, following which fire services were rushed to the spot. The aircraft stood some feet away from the burning vehicle and was not damaged. As per a statement, the flight departed about 20 minutes behind schedule.
