In the latest development after the mysterious death of Mahant Narendra Giri, senior members of Shri Panchayati Akhara Niranjani have named Mahant Balbir Giri as the next successor to head the Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad. Balbir Giri, the youngest head at 35, will formally be anointed on October 5. Reportedly, the late Narendra Giri had expressed his will to choose Mahant Balbir as his successor, through a suicide note.
