Akhilesh Yadav Visits Family Of Victim In Lakhimpur Kheri Violence: UP

Akhilesh Yadav, former CM of Uttar Pradesh paid a visit to the family of a farmer (Daljit Singh) who was killed in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence. Yadav demanded the resignation of Minister of State for Home Affairs, Ajay Mishra Teni. "Untill the resignation is done, justice will not be given to these victims' families," he stated. He further stated that since Supreme Court has taken cognizance, justice will be delivered.

Shivpal Yadav Advises Ex CM Akhilesh Not To Introduce Mafia In SP

Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) leader Shivpal Yadav has advised his nephew Akhilesh Yadav not to introduce Mafia in Samajwadi Party (SP) on September 1. His remark came after Akhilesh allowed don-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari's brother Singbatullah Ansari to join SP. He also said ''no mafia came to us'' when he was SP's state president. However, Shivpal said he may return to the SP if he ''gets due honor''.

Covid-19 Death Numbers Are 43 Times Higher Than Govt Data: Akhilesh Yadav

Taking into account the RTI data, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has alleged that the UP govt is hiding the actual death figures of Covid-19. He took to Twitter on June 22 and said, ''the death count in 24 districts of UP in 9-month of the pandemic till march is up to 43-time higher than the govt figures.'' However as per government data, the death count is 22,224 so far.

Self-isolating himself at his home, Akhilesh urged to all who came in contact with him to get tested. Former UP minister Bhagwati Singh has passed away at 89 on April 4. Reportedly, last rites of the founder member of the Samajwadi Party will not be performed as he had wished to donate his body to Lucknow's King George Medical University.
