American Fencers Wear Pink Mask To Protest Against Sexual Assault
In a protest against American fencer Alen Hadzic, his teammates Jake Hoyle, Curtis McDowald, and Yeisser Ramirez wore pink face masks at Tokyo Olympics on July 30. Hadzic, who was accused of sexual misconduct by three women following his Tokyo Olympics qualification, was the only one not wearing the pink mask. "These athletes wanted to have a voice where US Fencing and SafeSport failed,” a US fencer said.
