Alipur Wall Collapse: Junior Engineer & Assistant Engineer Suspended, 2 Persons Arrested

In Delhi's Alipur, after a wall collapse at a godown claimed the lives of at least five persons, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) suspended a junior engineer and an assistant engineer. Police have also arrested two persons in connection to the case. The incident that occurred on July 15, also left at least nine persons injured. Reportedly, accused Shakti Singh is absconding.

Overjoyed UP Thief Suffers Heart Attack After Looting Rs 7 Lakh

In a bizarre incident, a thief suffered a heart attack after he was overjoyed with a successful heist of Rs 7 lakh from a public service centre in Bijnor, UP. The thief, Ejaz, and his accomplice Naushad had committed the robbery in mid-February. However, Ejaz soon suffered the heart attack and had to spend a large amount of the looted money on treatment. Arresting them from Alipur, the police have recovered Rs 3.7 lakh.
