Ramdev Baba Approaches SC, Seeks Stay Over Allopathy Controversial

Aiming to seek a stay on proceedings in the FIRs against Ramdev Baba in the IMA branches of Patna and Raipur, upon his allopathy controversial comments, the yoga guru moved to Supreme Court. Alleged upon saying, "allopathy is a stupid science", IMA sent a legal notice to him and doctors observed a black day protest in May. However, the Health Ministry's order made Baba apologise and withdrew his comments.

Anti-Allopathy Row: Petitioner Demands Sedition Charges For Ramdev

A petitioner in Bihar court has demanded sedition charges for Baba Ramdev over his anti-allopathy remarks. Ramdev's Allopathy Remarks Part Of Free Speech, Says Delhi HC

The Delhi High Court on June 3 observed that Baba Ramdev's anti-allopathy remarks and his claims over 'Coronil' fall under the ambit of freedom of speech and expression. It gave the observation against a lawsuit filed by the Delhi Medical Association, which had requested for a restraining order on Ramdev. Besides, to the petitioner, the court said, "Find a cure for the pandemic instead of wasting the court's time."

No Vaccination Needed, I Have Yoga, Ayurveda's Dual Cover: Baba Ramdev

Adding to his contentious statements, Baba Ramdev has now said that he did not need to get vaccinated as he was protected by dual cover of yoga and Ayurveda. "For decades, I have been practicing yoga and Ayurveda, so I didn't feel the need to get vaccinated," said Ramdev. The yoga guru recently raised 25 questions against allopathy, and prior to this he had called the practice a "stupid science".

Doctors Call For Nationwide Protest Over Ramdev's Anti-Allopathy Remarks

The Federation of Resident Doctors' Association has called for a nationwide protest on June 1 against the anti-allopathy remarks made by Baba Ramdev. The medicos' body said that they would observe the date as "Black Day" and has also asked Ramdev to issue an "unconditional open public apology". Earlier, the yoga guru had sparked a row by stating that "lakhs have died from taking allopathic medicines for Covid-19".

#ArrestRamdev: Yoga Guru Challenges Authorities To Arrest Him

Responding to #ArrestRamdev over Twitter, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev was witnessed challenging authorities to arrest him. In the 40-second video, Ramdev was heard saying, "khair arrest to unka koi baap bhi nahin kar sakta Ramdev ko". This comes after the IMA had urged PM Narendra Modi to prosecute Ramdev under sedition for his attacks on allopathy. The IMA also served Ramdev Rs1000 crore defamation notice.

Baba Ramdev Served Rs 1000-Cr Defamation Notice By IMA Uttarakhand

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has been served with Rs 1000-crore defamation notice by Indian Medical Association (IMA)-Uttarakhand for his "stupid science" remark on allopathy. The notice warned that the amount would be extracted from him if he fails to release a video countering his previous statements along with a written apology within the next 15 days. Earlier, Ramdev had withdrawn his statements on May 24 after facing severe backlash.
