Italy’s Valley Evacuated Over Fears of Mont Blanc Glacier Collapse
Around 75 people have been evacuated from Italy’s Alpine valley amid fears that the Planpincieux glacier in the Mont Blanc range could collapse due to the summer heat. A local environmental expert has warned that the glacier is melting due to the global warming and could fall "at any time". It is currently under observation with aerial photography and radar; also, the roads leading to the area have been closed.
