Johnny Depp has filed an appeal against the $2 million defamation judgment handed out by a Virginia jury in June to his ex-wife Amber Heard. Johnny's appeal is a reaction to Amber's July 21 appeal, and it is an attempt to recoup the $2 million judgment that a Virginia jury handed Amber in her $100 million countersuit against Johnny and his 2019 $50 million case.

Before becoming a Hollywood actor, Johnny Depp aspired to be a musician. The actor made a surprise appearance at Jeff Beck's England concert two days after attorneys presented closing statements in his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp headed to the stage with his guitar and Beck to sing their 2020 duet "Isolation," a version of John Lennon's 1970 song, during the event in Sheffield.
