Maha Imposes Lockdown In Amravati, Achalpur Amid Surging COVID Cases
Amid steep surge in COVID-19 cases, the Maharastra Government on February 21 announced a complete lockdown for one-week in Achalpur town and Amravati district. Notably, the state has recorded 6,281 new cases of COVID-19 on February 20, however, no foreign strains of the virus have been detected in the state. Moreover, the shops and markets at Amravati were closed at 8 PM on February 19, and a lockdown on weekend was imposed.
