NASA's Mars rover successfully collected its first rock sample from the surface of Mars. Confirming the development on September 2, the perseverance rover's chief engineer said, ''I've never been more happy to see a hole in a rock.'' Reportedly, the rock sample may help the scientist to extract the evidence of ancient life. However, to retrieve the samples, NASA will also launch more spacecraft.
