Andhra Pradesh HC Issues Verdict In AP State Capital Issue
AP High Court bench led by Chief Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra announced its verdict over AP Capital Issue. On March 3, the HC directed the YSRCP Government to develop Amaravati as the capital city, as per TDP proposal, under the CRDA Act. It also asked YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government to ensure lands of Amaravati farmers are being used for infrastructure developments, and submit a report in next three months.

Andhra Govt Postpones Intermediate Exams On HC's Direction

Andhra High Court Invites Application For Civil Judge Posts
The recruitment process for 68 posts of Civil Judge (Junior Division) has been initiated by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Online applications have been invited for all the posts, of which 55 will undergo direct recruitment process and 13 will be taken up through transfers. The last date to apply for the posts is January 2, 2021 and selection process will comprise three stages - screening test, written aptitude test, and interview.

Andhra Pradesh Mandates Permit To Transport Liquor

Union Law Minister Says More Than 2 Lakh Cases Pending In Andhra High Court
About 2,03,024 cases are pending in the Andhra Pradesh High Court and 5,82,069 cases are pending in other lower courts in the state, as of September 17. Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad provided the data in Rajya Sabha. While answering a question regarding the impact of COVID-19 on the judiciary, he stated that 15,32,334 cases had been disposed by the district and subordinate courts across the country since March 24.

Andhra Pradesh: High Court Seeks Evidence on Phone Tapping Allegations
On August 18, a petition was filed in the Andhra Pradesh High Court (HC) alleging that the phones of the High Court judges were illegally being tapped, and their movements were being monitored.
