Google Removes 50 Android Apps From Play Store Due To 3 Different Malware Attacks

Google has banned 50 android applications from the Play Store. According to the research, Zscaler's ThreatLabz team discovered three distinct malware families infecting Google Play apps: Joker, Facestealer, and Coper. According to the report, the majority of the apps were tainted with Joker malware. WhatsApp CEO Warns Users To Be Wary Of Fake Versions

WhatsApp has cautioned the users, urging them to be wary of phony versions of the messaging service. Will Cathcart, the CEO of WhatsApp, has asked people on Twitter not to use the tweaked version of WhatsApp because users may get into severe problems and their data can be leaked. Cathcart warned that apps like "Hey WhatsApp" from a developer named "HeyMods" are hazardous and should be avoided.

Google Maps Introduces New Feature Which Calculates Toll Costs For Trip

Google Maps released a new function that calculates how much one would have to pay in tolls when traveling along a  route. It is available on Android and iOS. While calculating routes, there is also an option to "avoid tolls." Google claims that the displayed prices are based on "reliable information from local tolling authorities," with the overall cost taking into consideration the number of tolls and time of day.

WhatsApp’s New Feature Will Allow Users To Edit Messages After Being Sent

WhatsApp is developing a new edit function. The function will allow users to edit the text after it has been sent. WhatsApp is alleged to have begun work on the feature five years ago, but was soon shelved after it was exposed on Twitter. After a five-year hiatus, it has reconsidered working on the edit feature. The feature was being evaluated for Android, and is testing for iOS and Computer.
