Jeff Bezos To Hand Over CEO's Chair, Andy Jassy Takes Lead

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is set to hand over his chair to Andy Jassy on July 5. However, Bezos will retain a key role as executive chair at the company and will spend more time overseeing his other projects of space firm 'Blue Origin'. Amazon was founded 27-years-ago, Bezos initiated it at his garage and packed orders himself also drove them to the courier office.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos To Step Down, Become Executive Chairman

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos will be stepping down from his post to become the executive chairman. Succeeding Bezos, Amazon’s cloud computing chief Andy Jassy will be the new CEO. Bezos said, “I will… have the time and energy I need to focus on the Day 1 Fund, the Bezos Earth Fund, Blue Origin, The Washington Post and my other passions.” Earlier, Amazon made over $100-billion quarterly sales for the first time.
