Mumbai Police Seize 2,500 Kg Beef, Arrest 10: Maharashtra

In Mumbai's Suburban Deonar, police arrested 10 persons and seized over 2,500 kg of beef, on July 7. Acting on a tip off from an animal welfare organization, the police laid a trap at Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link road. Reportedly, the meat was seized when it was getting loaded from one vehicle to another. Also, three vehicles have been seized from their possession. Further details are awaited.

Man Lands Blow To Dog's Head With Iron Rod, Attacks Those Who Attempted To Intervene: Delhi

In Delhi's Paschim Vihar, a man brutally attacked a dog and those who came to intervene. Dharamvir Dahiya, angered by a barking dog, came with an iron rod and gave a strong blow to the dog's head, causing serious injury. He also attacked Hemanth (53) who came to intervene, Rashit (25) and another woman. The incident was recorded in CCTV. A case has been filed and further details are awaited.

Govt School Teacher Beats Dog To Death After It Passed Stool By His Door: Gwalior

Matadin Gurjar, government school teacher in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior beat a dog to death after it passed stool in front of his door in Gol Pahariya locality. Reportedly, Gurjar pointed his licensed gun at locals who tried to stop him from the act. Following the incident, members of animal and social welfare foundation filed a case against Gurjar, demanding strict action. Further details are awaited.
