Street Dogs To Not Be Removed From Streets Of Bangalore: Karnataka Animal Husbandry Dept
The Karnataka animal husbandry department has decided not to remove streer dogs from the streets of Bengaluru. Reportedly, after hearing from various residents of the city, BBMP has reversed its decision and decided to let the dogs be. However, the department has decided to vaccinate the street dogs for "infertility and against rabies". The department informed to vaccinate around 400 dogs a day.

Kerala Govt To Cull Birds After Samples Turn Positive For Bird Flu
After identifying the bird-flu virus in samples, the Kerala Animal Husbandry Department has conducted mass culling of birds in the Kuttanad region. The samples were confirmed with the H5N8 virus by the National Institute of High-Security Animal Diseases. Reportedly, over 25,000 ducks have died in Kottayam district in the past week.
