COVID-19 Pandemic Increases 'Anorexia' In Japan's Youth By 60%

In Japan, a survey released by the National Centre for Child Health and Development showed 258 youths were diagnosed with "Anorexia" in 2020 which is 60% higher than the previous year. Anorexia is an eating disorder. Reportedly, it increased due to the growing anxiety and pressure among the youths amid the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the government advised the parents and school teachers to pay attention to their children's health.
