Union ministers Rajnath Singh and Dr Harsh Vardhan on May 17 launched the first batch of anti-COVID drug 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG). Jointly developed by DRDO, Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, 2-DG is effective in moderate to severely affected COVID-19 patients. DCGI Gives Emergency Use Approval To DRDO's Anti-COVID Drug
The DCGI has given an emergency use approval to the DRDO developed drug capable of curing COVID-19. The drug, in powder form to be taken orally by dissolving in water, is jointly developed by DRDO lab and Hyderabad’s Dr. Reddy's laboratory.
