Anti-Lynching Law

Muslim youth named Sajid was beaten by Hindutva mob in Jharkhand, on December 23.  Sajid was alleged of having an affair with a Hindu girl, following which the mob hung him upside-down and thrashed him badly. A video in which the mob was beating Sajid and he was pleading mercy, went viral on Twitter. Notably, the incident happened a day after the Jharkhand Government approved anti-lynching law, protecting people.
