AP HC Grants Bail To Chandrababu Naidu In Angallu 307 Case

Andhra Pradesh High Court granted anticipatory bail to N Chandrababu Naidu, the former AP CM and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief, in the Angallu 307 case.  This case is registered against him and several other TDP leaders, accusing them of instigating an attack on the ruling YRCP local leader. Meanwhile, the TDP termed as political vendetta by the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led-YRCP government.

Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s Bail Extended Till Sept 20 In Anti-Terrorism Case

In Pakistan’s Islamabad, an anti-terrorist court (ATC) granted extension of pre-arrest bail (anticipatory bail) to former Pakistan PM Imran Khan, in an alleged anti-terrorism case. The case was filed after Khan allegedly threatened Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry during a public rally on August 20. The FIR filed against Khan stated that Khan intended to “terrorise” police officials and the judiciary.

Kerala Court Grants Bail To Accused In Sexual Harassment Case Citing ‘Provocative Dress’

Kerala court has granted bail to an accused in a sexual harassment case on the grounds that the victim was wearing “provocative dress”. Writer Civic Chandran (74) has been granted anticipatory bail by a sessions court in Kerala’s Kozhikode in a sexual harassment case. The court contended that the charges against the accused will prima facie not stand if the complainant was wearing a provocative dress.

Kerala Government Petitions SC To Terminate Bail Of Vijay Babu In Rape Case

Actor-producer Vijay Babu was granted anticipatory bail by Kerala High Court in a rape case on June 22, but the state government petitioned the Supreme Court on June 29 to revoke his bail. Babu has been ordered to appear before the police investigative team from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from June 27 to July 3. The court further ordered him not to leave the state under any circumstances.

Malayalam Actor Vijay Babu Granted Anticipatory Bail In Rape Case

The Kerala High Court granted anticipatory bail to Malayalam movie producer and actor Vijay Babu in an alleged rape case. Bombay HC Grants Anticipatory Bail To Rana Ayyub: Ghaziabad Assault Video Case

The Bombay High Court has granted transit anticipatory bail to Journalist Rana Ayyub, giving her protection for four weeks, from being arrested. She had shared a video of an elderly Muslim man being assaulted in Ghaziabad. Following which, the Loni Border police registered an FIR against her, on June 15.
