In the Cauvery river water dispute, the Supreme Court on September 21, refused to interfere with the order of Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) to Karnataka on releasing 5,000 cusecs of water for now to Tamil Nadu.Tamil Nadu is saying they need 7200 cusecs, Karnataka is saying they can only give 2000 cusecs. We are not inclined to interfere. The Apex Court has asked the authority to meet every 15-days.

The AAP and its president Arvind Kejriwal hailed the Supreme Court's verdict on the Centre-Delhi services. Arvind Kejriwal termed the Apex Court's decision as "victory of democracy". The Supreme Court, through a February 27 circular, has banned the use of WhatsApp to share video conference links. Owing to the new Information Technology Rules, 2021, registered email ids and mobile numbers of advocates and parties will be used to share video links for court proceedings form March 1. Citing a matter of 'law and order,’ the Supreme Court on January 18 held the Delhi Police to take a call on the farmer’s tractor rally on Republic Day. Hearing the Centre’s plea, the Apex Court said, “We are not going to tell you what to do.” Earlier, the Centre had requested the SC to restrain the proposed rally as it will disrupt the Republic Day celebrations and cause embarrassment to the nation.
