India’s Arms Import Dipped By 33%; Russia Worst Sufferer: SIPRI

The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute has reported a 33% decline in India's import of arms between 2011–15 and 2016–20. It cited India's complex procurement processes and the country's efforts to reduce dependence on imported arms and boost defense manufacturing at home as the reasons. Notably, the report said that Russia was the worst sufferer of the decline followed by the US from where India's arms import dipped by 46%.

Turkey, UAE Violating ‘UN Arms Embargo’ in Libya: Investigation

Satellite images and flight data have revealed that Turkey and UAE planes are moving arms and fighters to Libyan groups, violating the 'UN Arms Embargo' of 2011.
