Delhi: Mother In Law Pours Acid On Daughter In Law, Arrested

In Delhi, a horrific incident was reported, a 49-year-old woman allegedly poured acid on her 22-year-old daughter-in-law. The police confirmed the case and arrested the accused identified as Anjali, a resident of the New Usmanpur area in northeast Delhi. According to police, the incident occurred on September 21, at around 5.30 p.m. The complainant was admitted to JPC Hospital with 25 per cent acid burns.

Bandra Unit Arrested 3 Peddlers With 5 kg High Quality Hashish

The Bandra Unit of the Mumbai Anti-Narcotics Cell has arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 5 kg of high-quality hashish from them in the Wadala area of Mumbai, as reported by the news agency ANI. The recovered drugs are worth over Rs 1 crore in the international market. According to sources, the police seized the drugs after receiving a tip-off  from sources. An investigation is underway.

New York Woman Arrested After 1-year-old Died Eating Fentanyl

A New York woman is facing murder and drug charges after a one-year-old boy died from fentanyl poisoning at the daycare she operated. Grei Mendez(36) was arrested over the weekend after emergency paramedics, to reports of unconscious children at the Divino Nino Daycare in the Bronx. Police said a large quantity of fentanyl was found at the facility, including a kilogram of the drug stored on top of children's playmats.

Congress MLA Mamman Khan Sent To 14-Days Judicial Custody In Nuh Violence Case

A Haryana court on September 19, sent Congress leader MLA Mamman Khan to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the July 31 communal violence in Haryana's Nuh district. Earlier on September 17, the court had extended Khan's police remand by two days. His remand was extended in connection with an FIR registered at the Nagina police station, officials said. Special NIA Court Convicts 6th Accused In Bengaluru Fake Currency Scam

A special NIA court has convicted a woman in the Bengaluru fake currency case involving smuggling of huge quantities of high-quality counterfeit banknotes from Bangladesh into India via Karnataka. Vanitha alias 'Thangam' is the sixth accused to be convicted in the case. She was sentenced to six years of imprisonment under Section 489B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), five years of imprisonment under Section 489C.
