Mahalaya Ends On October 14, Marks Beginning Of Navratri
The Hindu calendar welcomes Mahalaya on October 14 which marks the completion of Pitru Paksha and the onset of Devi Paksha. The glorious nights praising the Goddess start with the Mahalaya, the no-moon day (Amavasya) falling in the lunar month of Ashwin. With the end of Mahalaya, people will embark on the festivities mood. Navratri would thus commence on October 15 and extend till Dusshera, October 24.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath Issues Statement On Gyanvapi Mosque Row
Amid the ongoing issue of the Gyanvapi Mosque Row, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath finally broke his silence and issued a statement. On July 31, CM Adityanath said, "If it's a mosque, what is Trishul doing inside Gyanvapi?" He cited that there is ample amount of evidences, proving the presence of Hindu ancients and Sanatan culture at Gyanvapi Mosque. Notably, the survey of the Gyanvapi Mosque is on hold.

West Bengal Celebrates Dol Utsav Through Cultural Programs
The people of West Bengal celebrated the festival of colors, predominantly known as 'Dol Utsav' in the state. Meanwhile, the people begin the day singing and dancing on the famous Tagore song "Ore Grihabasi, khol dwar khol laglo je dol…. (O home dweller, open the door, the Dol festival is here)." The festival of colors is celebrated across India by playing "gulaal" or powder color on each other.

People Celebrate 'Bhairon Jhanki' Festival Ahead Of Holi In J&K's Rajour
Following the decades-old tradition, people of Rajouri celebrated the 'Bhairon Jhanki' Festival in J&K, ahead of Holi. The festival lasts for eight days, where a person plays the role of Bhairon Baba, as a part of Jhanki. However, people believe that celebrating this festival will keep you away from disease and fear. "Since the festival has started, this place has not witnessed a drought," a local resident said.

UNESCO Honours Indian Artist Paris Mohan Kumar
UNESCO honored artist Paris Mohan Kumar whose artistic work depicts and highlights women, tribal communities, and nature. On February 2, he inaugurated an exhibition of his work which showed vivid colors and paintings inspired by real-life, at David Hall in Kochi. He works for humankind, farmers who are exploited by landowners in Kerala. "But no one prays for nature, for the forests, for the deer or the tiger," says Kumar.

Art Alive Gallery In Delhi Celebrates 20 Years; Check Details Here
As per sources, The Delhi Gallery is all set to cross 20 year-mark soon. When the idea of the gallery was conceptualised in the late ’90s, the art market was still new and there was a handful of galleries, said the director, Sunaina Anand. Amit Shah Unveils Mahatma Gandhi's Mural Made From Kulhad Cups:Ahemadabad
On the occasion of Martyrs Day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled Mahatma Gandhi's mural, at the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad. The mural measuring 100 square meters, commissioned by the KVIC, is made from 2,975 clay kulhads by 75 potters. Union Minister Narayan Rane and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel also attended the event. Notably, it is created by arranging kulhads on an aluminum sheet to form the Mahatma's visage.
