UNESCO Honours Indian Artist Paris Mohan Kumar
UNESCO honored artist Paris Mohan Kumar whose artistic work depicts and highlights women, tribal communities, and nature. On February 2, he inaugurated an exhibition of his work which showed vivid colors and paintings inspired by real-life, at David Hall in Kochi. He works for humankind, farmers who are exploited by landowners in Kerala. "But no one prays for nature, for the forests, for the deer or the tiger," says Kumar.

Guinness Record-Holder Art 'The Journey of Humanity' Sold For $62 Million
Guinness World record-holding art 'The Journey of Humanity' by British artist Sacha Jafri, has been sold for $62 million in an auction in Dubai. The world's largest canvas painting was divided into 70 lots, measuring 1,800 square metres was Purchased by France’s Andre Abdoune. Nepal To Turn Everest Trash Into Artwork For Environmental Awareness
In an environmental awareness move, Nepal has planned to turn the trash left by Mt Everest trekkers into artwork. Project coordinator Tommy Gustafsson, founder of Sagarmatha Next Centre, said the move will involve foreign and local artists into this initiative.
