IAF Finds 7 Missing Workers Near Arunachal Pradesh Forest, 12 Still Missing

The Indian Air Force rescued seven missing workers, who fled from a road construction site near Indo-China border. The workers from Assam were found on July 22, 17 days after being missing, inside a dense forest in Kurung Kumey, Arunachal Pradesh. The officials further said, the efforts to find 12 more missing workers are underway. Notably, workers are taken to the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) medical facility for treatment.

19 Road Construction Workers Go Missing Near India-China Border; One Found Dead In River

In Arunachal Pradesh's Kurung Kumey district, one labourer died and 18 others were injured near the India-China border. Reportedly, the labourers were working at a construction site, and are missing since 14 days. After going missing on July 5, one labourers body was found in Furak river. Reportedly, the labourers were engaged in a road construction work. Further details are awaited.

Itanagar-Hollongi Highway Landslide Causes Connectivity Issues: Arunachal Pradesh

In Itanagar, a massive landslide blocked an arterial road, resulting in a massive traffic jam and causing trouble to people stranded with their vehicles. On June 21, due to the landslide, Itanagar-Hollongi near Chimphu,  at 10:30 am. The administration started work to clear the debris, which is likely to be finished in a couple of days, leaving stranded vehicles and people with no choice but to stay nearby.

Two Army Jawans Stationed In Arunachal Pradesh On India-China Border Reported Missing

For the past 14 days, two Army jawans from the 7th Garhwal Rifles have been missing along the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh. Harendra Negi and Prakash Singh Rana were identified as the missing soldiers. On June 9, a phone call informed that both men had died in the river. Poonam, Negi's wife, expressed her disbelief that both soldiers went near the river and requested an explanation from the army.

Arunachal Pradesh Landslide Kills 2 People, Traps 1, Says Police

In Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, two people died after their house was hit by a massive landslide and a woman is still trapped in the bamboo house, which crashed on May 15 night, after landslide. SP Jimmy Chiram said, while two bodies have been retrieved from the debris, the "fate of the woman is yet to be known". Furthermore, the deceased have been identified as Nagen Barman (50) and Tapas Rai (15).

5.3 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh's North of Pangin reported an earthquake of 5.3 magnitude on the richter scale, on April 15. At around 6:56 am, the tremors were confirmed, according to National Centre of Seismology (NCS). "Earthquake of magnitude:5.3, occured on 15-04-2022, 06:56:19 IST, Lat: 38.52, Long: 97.03, Depth: 30 Km, Location: 1179 Km N of Pangin, Arunachal Pradesh," mentioned a Tweet from NCS.

Sub-Inspector Found Dead, Throat Cut At Quarters: Itanagar

Sibu George (55), a sub-inspector, was found dead at his quarters, in Itanagar, on April 1. George, who was a native of Kerala, was reportedly found with cut wounds on his neck. Soon after the body was found, IGP Chukha Apa and other senior officials reached the spot. A case has been reportedly registered in the Chimpu police station for the charges of murder. Further details are awaited.

Child Trafficking Survivor Reunites With Family After 12 years: Arunachal Pradesh

Trafficked woman reunited with her family after 12 years in Arunachal Pradesh. As per PTI, the woman was trafficked when she was eight-year-old, when her step mother sold her to a man in Assam. Later, a local in Assam bought the girl as domestic help, and underwent tortures. However, on March 7, she was reunited with her family with the help of Welfare organisation and Arunachal Pradesh Women Helpline.

Earthquake Of Magnitude 4.3 Hits Pangin Area: Arunachal Pradesh

The National Center for Seismology on February 7, said a 4.3 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale jolted the city of Arunachal Pradesh's Pangin Area at 10:59 PM. "An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred around 22:59:17 IST today, at 305 km NNE of Pangin, Arunachal Pradesh, India," NCS tweeted. So far, no reports of deaths and damage to property have been reported. Moreover, further details are awaited.
