Delhi Police's Crime Branch rescued the two minor girls who were kidnapped and arrested the suspects in two separate cases from the Shutrana area of Patiala and Delhi's Nithari. The suspect Ajay Rana belongs to Punjab's Patiala and Daya Shankar belongs to UP's Bulandshahr. Reportedly, one of the suspects married the victim at Arya Samaj Mandir in Delhi and another one in Haryana's Panchkula.
