Sedition Law Has No Place In Free India: Ashwani Kumar
Former Union Law Minister Ashwani Kumar emphasized that in free India, there is no need of "sedition law" as it is being abused in the past few months. Notably, on May 9, Kumar said, "Decision to review the sedition law will be leading to the repeal of this law. This law has no place in free India". Meanwhile, Central Government informed Supreme Court (SC) that they will re-examine and reconsider.
