History! India Contingent Achieves Highest Medal Tally, At 71

India's rise in the global sports arena at the Asian Games 2023, as the Indian contingent achieved its highest-ever medal tally at the Games, at the 19th edition in Hangzhou. Their previous best was 70 medals in Indonesia in 2018. They took their overall medal tally to 71 on October 4, in the current edition by adding two more medals in the first half of the day.

IPL Chairman Arun Dhamal confirmed that India is not travelling to Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup. After the ICC Chief Executive meeting, the BCCI Jay Shah and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) representative Zaka Ashraf are scheduled to hold a meeting on July 13, and discuss the Asia Cup. Asia Cup 2023 Dates, Schedule Announced

The Asia Cup 2023 is set to begin from August 31 to September 17, confirmed the Asian Cricket Council on June 15.  The tournament will feature India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal with the teams competing in a total of 13 ODI matches. The tournament will be held in a hybrid model, of which four matches will be hosted by Pakistan, whereas remaining by Sri Lanka.

India To Play Asia Cup 2023 In Pakistan, Says BCCI Source
