India Secured 5 Medals At Asia Games 2023
India's Ramita, Mehuli Ghosh and Ashi Chouksey won silver in the women’s 10m air rifle team event with a total score of 1886. China won the gold, while bronze went to Mongolia. The overall five medals are: Silver in Lightweight Men's Double Sculls, Silver in Men's Eight, Bronze in Men's Pair Silver in 10m Air Rifle Team Women and Bronze in Ramita, 10m air rifle individual.

The Rohit Sharma-led Indian Cricket Team won the 2023 Asia Cup against Sri Lanka, on September 17. IND vs SL Final Match Highlights: Siraj's astonishing effort saw defending champions Sri Lanka getting bundled out for 50. India did not bat an eyelid in the chase, as Shubman Gill (27) and Ishan Kishan (23) did the job in just 6.1 overs.

Indian Grandmaster Praggnanandhaa Promises Gold To India
Buoyed by his World Cup silver medal, GM R Praggnanandhaa is confident of Indian team's chances of winning gold at the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou. Recently, on September 1, India's new chess sensation Praggnanandhaa was felicitated by Sports Minister Anurag Thakur at his residence. After felicitation, he said feels India has a "good chance" of winning gold at the Asian Games. Praggnanandhaa is a part of 10-member Indian team.

Asian Cricket Council Match, India V/S Pakistan On Sep 2
The Asian Cricket Council on July 19, announced the schedule for this year's Asia Cup tournament which will be played in Pakistan and Sri Lanka but hosted solely by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB.) The six-nation Asia Cup 2023 will consist of 13 one-day internationals in total with the opening game between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan on August 30.

Bangladesh & Afghanistan Back Out From Hybrid Model Asia Cup
After Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan also backed out of their proposed ‘Hybrid Model’, hosts Pakistan may pull out of the Asia Cup 2023 in September. As per ‘Hybrid Model’ proposed by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Najam Sethi, Pakistan were to conduct 3 to 4 games of the Asia Cup in their country, while the rest of the matches involving India could be held at a neutral venue.

Former India Captain Kapil Dev Likes To Slap Rishabh Pant
Former India captain and World Cup winner Kapil Dev said that while he loves Rishab Pant very much he would like to slap him hard once he gets fit. He further added that Pant's unavailability in Tests vs Australia has spoiled the team combinations. It also impacted Pant's career as he'll miss the 2023 Asia Cup. Notably, Rishab Pant recently escaped car accident and is currently recovering.

AFC Asian Cup 2023 To Be Relocated Due To The Ongoing Covid-19 Outbreak In China
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic in China, the AFC Asian Cup 2023, has been scheduled to be held somewhere else. Organized between June 16 and July 16, 2023, a 24-team competition was slated to take place in 10 cities. It comes amid China's decision to postpone the University World Games, Asian Games, and the Youth Asian Games, which were all scheduled to take place this year.

Rupinder Pal Singh To Lead Indian Hockey Team At Asian Cup 2022
Rupinder Pal Singh has been appointed to lead Indian Hockey Team at the Asia Cup as Hockey India on May 9. The tournament will be held in Jakarta, from May 23 to June 1, confirmed a World Cup qualifier. Birender Lakra has been named deputy to Rupinder for the event to lead the 20-member team. Notably, It will be the first assignment for former captain will be leading as coach.
