Indian Women Bag Gold; Men Settle For Silver In Asian Online Chess Championship
Indian women's and men's chess team won gold and silver, respectively, in the finals of the Asian Nations (Regions) Online championship on October 25. Mary Ann Gomez-led women's team scored 6-2 and won against Indonesia, with Woman Grandmaster PV Nandhidhaa bagging the first point. Meanwhile, the men's team lost to Australia 3.5-4.5 after suffering a defeat in the first round and draw in the second.

Indian Chess Teams To Enter Online Asian Nations Championship Finals
After stellar performances from Grandmasters Adhiban and Vaishali, the Indian men's and women's chess teams entered the finals of Asian Nations (Regions) Online championship. Reportedly, the men's team defeated Kazakhastan 2.5-1.5 and 3-1 whereas women's team comfortably defeated Mongolia by 3.5-0.5 and 4-0. The men's team will face Australia, followed by Indonesia with the women's team in the final match which is scheduled on October 25.
