Akhilesh Yadav Booked For COVID-19 Protocol Violations: UP Assembly Elections

Samaajwadi President Akhilesh Yadav and Rashtriya Lok Dal Chief ayant Chaudhary has been booked for violating COVID-19 protocols. Case registered on February 4,  was against the recent campaign rally held at Gautam Budh Nagar, which broke ECI rules along with COVID-19. Asaduddin Owaisi Alleges Gun Shot At His Vehicle: UP Assembly Elections

AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, who is campaigning for Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, alleged gun shots. On February 3, Owaisi said he was on his way to Delhi from Meerut, when three-four unidentified people shot three to four bullets at his convoy. Taking a dig at the opposition, Asaduddin Owaisi asked the Election Commission of India (ECI) to order an inquiry in the matter, especially ahead of UP Assembly elections.

West Bengal CM To Extend SP President Akhilesh Yadav In UP Assembly Polls

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee announced to support Akhilesh Yadav and Samajwadi Party in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. On February 2, Banerjee said, "We have to chase BJP away". Aiming to expand TMC, party president also announced to contest UP Lok Sabha seats in 2024. She also planned to elect and win all 42 seats in 2024 Lok Sabha elections and strengthen the Bengal party in next two years.

Priyanka Gandhi Hints To Be Congress CM Face In UP

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, on January 21, hinted to be the "CM face" of the party in Uttar Pradesh. During the manifesto release for the UP Assembly elections, Gandhi said, "Do you see any other face?" She further added, "You can see my face everywhere". Her statement created speculations, however an official announcement for the CM face is awaited. Notably, Congres lost 2017 UP elections in Uttar Pradesh.
