Application Process Set To Begin For 136 JKPSC Assistant Professors

The recruitment process in the higher education department for the post of 136 Assistant Professors will start on December 28, said the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC). The last date to fill the form and complete the registration is January 27. One can edit the form between January 29 to January 31. The fee for the general category is Rs 1,000 and others will pay Rs 500.

UGC Removes PhD Qualification To Apply For Assistant Professor Jobs

In the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the University Grants Commission (UGC) the apex body of Higher Education in India, has allowed the candidates to apply for Assistant Professor jobs without having a PhD till July 2023. UGC removed the mandatory requirement that came into effect in 2018 through an amendment. However, candidates having a postgraduate degree must have cleared the National Eligibility Test to apply for the post.

Centre To Postpone Making PhD Minimum Criteria For Asst Professor Recruitment

In consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic, the central government has decided to put a pause to making Ph.D. the minimum requirement for assistant-professor recruitment this year.
