Veteran spacewalker, two young crewmates, and a German materials scientist, on November 10, were sent to the International Space Station, jointly by NASA and SpaceX. NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida deployed the SpaceX-built launch vehicle, which consisted a Crew Dragon spacecraft and a two-stage Falcon 9 rocket. The liftoff of the Dragon spacecraft, named Endurance by the crew, was aired live from Cape Canaveral on NASA TV.

China successfully launched its space station on June 17 from the Jiuquan launch centre in the northwest of the Gobi desert. Zhang Zhen, director of the Jiuquan satellite launch centre said, "The Long March-2F rocket has sent the Shenzhou-12 manned spacecraft". Elon Musk owned Space X will launch four astronauts to the International Space Station on April 22. Carrying first European citizen, the space flight will be a part of Space X’s second regular mission since the US resumed crewed space travel. The mission ‘Crew-2’ with experienced previously flown astronauts onboard will lift-off at scheduled 6:11 AM eastern standard time from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. 

Staying in space for long durations can lead to shrinkage of astronauts' heart and exercise is not the cure for it, revealed a new study published in the journal Circulation. Reportedly, the study was conducted on former astronaut Scott Kelly, whose heart was exposed to longer periods in space and had shrunk despite hours of exercise. Notably, the study has come amid countries advancing towards space missions across the globe.
