Pakistan Hands Over 20 Indian Fishermen To India After 4 years
At least 20 Indian fishermen were handed over to India via the Attari-Wagah border, on January 24. ''They mistakenly entered the Pakistan Territory in 2017, due to the lack of navigation, and were held captive in Karachi's Landhi jail for 4 years,'' informed officer Anurag Singh. The fishermen extended gratitude to the Government. ''I request the government to bring more prisoners back who are stuck in Pakistan,'' said a fisherman.

Pakistan Denies Entry To 46 Citizens To Contain COVID-19 Spread
Pakistan government denied entry to its 46 nationals from the Attari-Wagah, including 23 children, for not having a ''proper COVID report''. Reportedly, the nationals visited shrines in Amritsar a year ago but got stuck due to the ''COVID Induced lockdown''. A Pakistan national, Wazir said, ''We got tested on August 23 but the Pakistan govt didn't approve.'' After undergoing new COVID-19 tests, they will be sent back on August 26.
