Paralympic Shooter Avani Lekhara Asks For Help After Coach & Escort Were Denied Visas

Avani Lekhara, Indian paralympic shooter, requested assistance on June 3 over her coach Rakesh Manpat and escort Shweta Jewaria not receiving visas for World Shooting Para Sport World Cup 2022 in France. Lekhara expressed her disappointment on Twitter, tagging Sports Minister, Sports Authority of India, Paralympic Committee of India, and Indian embassy in France. After Gold, Shooter Avani Lekhara Wins Bronze At Tokyo Paralympics

Indian shooter Avani Lekhara has won a bronze medal at Tokyo Paralympics in the 50m Rifle 3 Position SH1 on September 3. Following the win of bronze, 19-year-old Lekhara became the first Indian to win two Paralympic medals as she had already won Gold in the 10m air rifle standing SH1 event on August 30. However, China's Zhang Cuiping and Germany's Natascha Hiltrop won gold and silver, respectively.
