Avian Flu Outbreak Reported In Japan; 143K Birds To Be Culled

The prefectural government in Japan's Akita prefecture on November 10 ordered to cull 1,43,000 birds of a chicken farm after finding cases of Avina flu in them. A day ago, 12 samples out of 13 chickens were found positive for the flu. It is being regarded as the season's first outbreak of avian influenza in the country. PM Fumio Kishida also took the situation into his consideration.
