Union Aviation Removes Airfares Cap Limits, In Effect From August 31

The Civil Aviation Ministry removed the limits imposed on domestic airfares after a span of approximately 27 months. On August 10, the Ministry tweeted, "The decision to remove air fare caps has been taken after careful analysis of daily demand and prices of air turbine fuel (ATF)." Furthermore, the newly removed airfare caps in upper and lower limits, imposed when the flight services resumed, will in effect from August 31.

PM Modi Inaugurates 'India's Biggest Drone Festival'; Says, India Can Become Global Drone Hub

PM Modi highlighted the importance of making technology available to the masses. Indian Govt To Resume International Flights From Mid December

The Indian Government announced to resume international flight services from December 15. The decision was taken in consultation with the Union Health and Aviation Ministry. However, 14 countries, including Bangladesh, Mauritius, Finland, China, Botswana, South Africa, UK, France, Netherlands, Singapore, Brazil, New Zealand, Germany, and Zimbabwe are dropped from the list. Talace, Tata Sons Subsidiary, Wins Bid To Re-Acquire Air India

Aviation Ministry & DIPAM Secretary said on October 8 that Tata-Sons' subsidiary Talace Pvt Ltd won the bid of Rs 18,000 crore to re-acquire Air India. Reportedly, the conglomerate won the bid more than 85 years after ceding control to the government. Ratan Tata wrote on Twitter, ''Tatas will have the opportunity of regaining the image and reputation it enjoyed in earlier years.''
