Army To Induct Women Pilots In Flying Branch From Next Year

The Indian Army will begin inducting women as pilots under its aviation wing from next year. Announcing the decision, Chief of Army Staff Gen MM Narvane stated that he had issued instructions in this regard a month ago. He said that while the pilot course admitting women officers will start in July 2021, they will be commissioned after one-year training. The Army has started inducting women in military police from 2019.
