Ranveer Singh Receives Brand Endorser Of The Year Award

The Celebrity Brand Valuation Report by Duff & Phelps, announced Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh to be the biggest film star in India. Furthermore, Singh who recently landed into controversy for his nude photoshoot, has now received  Brand Endorser of the Year at the prestigious IAA Leadership Awards. "Had to wait a long time for advertisers to consider me," said Singh, who currently has brand value of  158 million USD.

Jharkhand To Receive WHO's No Tobacco Award 22 In Delhi

Jharkhand has been named for the World Health Organization (WHO)'s World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) Award-2022 Award. On May 29, a government official confirmed it and said the Stata Tobacco Control Cell under the Health Department will receive the award. The ceremony will be held in New Delhi on May 31,  World No Tobacco Day. NTPC Nodal Officer Lalit Ranjan Pathak lauded the Jharkhand government for the achievement.

Ajaz Patel Wins ICC Player Of Month Award For December 2021

New Zealand Cricketer Ajaz Patel on January 10 has been awarded ICC player of the month for December, following his 10-wicket haul against India. Ajaz was nominated for the award, as he became the only third player in test history, to pick 14 wickets in total in that match, including 10 in the first innings. Mumbai-born Ajaz made a fairy-tale comeback in his first-ever India tour with the Test team.

BTS and Ed Sheeran were the top winners at the 2021 MTV European Music Awards, which took place on November 15. BTS took the maximum awards, including Best Pop, Best Group, Best K-Pop, and Biggest Fans, but were unable to accept them since they were not there. For "Bad Habits," Sheeran was named Best Artist and Best Song. Nicki Minaj, and Olivia Rodrigo were among the other few artists to be awarded.

Khel Ratna Award Renamed As 'Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award'

PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter on August 6 and announced, ''I've been getting many requests from citizens...the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award will hereby be called the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award.'' Dhyan Chand is known for winning gold in the 1928, 1932, and 1936 Olympics. The announcement was made a day after the Indian men's hockey team won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
