In the list of Smart City awards 2020 released on June 25, two cities Indore (MP) and Surat (Gujarat) have bagged the first prize for their overall development. Whereas Chandigarh topped among the union territories. The smart city awards are given considering the development of social aspects, governance, economy, culture, urban environment and mobility, water, sanitation, etc. Besides, UP, MP and Tamil Nadu topped among all states.

The 2021 Brit Awards ceremony was graced by 2,500 key health workers, who were invited in recognition of their work during the COVID-19. Dua Lipa, in her double-win acceptance speech, urged the government to give the health workers much-deserved pay raise. The event was the first since early 2020 in Britain, which is aiming to lift the lockdown completely by June 21.
