Ayodhya Striked By Earthquake Magnitude Of 4.3: UP

In Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya, an earthquake magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale struck, on January 6 at 11:59 pm, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). The epicentre of the quake is reported to be 176 km NNE of the city. It occurred at a depth of 15 km from the surface. So far, no reports of deaths and damage to property have been reported.

Revamped Station In Ayodhya Worth Rs 126 Crore To Be Ready By March Next Year

Ayodhya is likely to get a revamped railway station by March 2022, facilitating the people who come to the city to visit the Ram Temple. The revamped railway station of 1,400 square metres will feature 14 retirement rooms, 76 dormitories. It will also offer big parking that can accommodate 134 cars, 68 auto-rickshaws, and 96 two-wheelers. Reportedly, the design of the station will represent the under-construction Ram Temple.

Jhansi Railway Station Renamed As 'Veerangana Laxmibai Railway Station': UP

After getting the approval of the central government, the Uttar Pradesh Government changed the name of Jhansi railway station to Veerangana Laxmibai railway station, on December 29. Security Tightened In Ayodhya: Babri Masjid Demolition Anniversary

Security was tightened in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya in view of the Babri Masjid Demolition Anniversary on December 6. Identity cards of those entering Ayodhya are being checked. The police force is on alert on the roads of Ram Janmabhoomi. ''The situation is much calmer in Ayodhya as compared to December 6, 1992,'' said Ramanand Shukla, Principal at a local school in Ayodhya.
