ISIS Terrorist Arrested For Plotting Attack On Independence Day: Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh's Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested alleged ISIS terrorist Sabauddin Azmi from Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh, on August 9. He was alleged of plotting a terror attack during Independence Day. Following his arrest, locals gathered near the house. Sabauddin's brother Salim said that "it is beyond understanding," as to how Azmi was linked to a terrorist organisation.

Akhilesh Yadav: Won't Fight UP Poll But Alliance With RLD Is Final
In the latest development ahead of the 2022 UP assembly election, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on November 1 announced that he's decided not to contest in the election. He also said, ''Our alliance with RLD is final. Seat sharing is to be finalised.'' Furthermore, Akhilesh added he ''don't have any problem'' to fight with his uncle Shivpal Yadav's Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia (PSPL) in the upcoming election.

Fraud Charges Against Salman Khan, Satish Kaushik For 'Kaagaz' To Be Probed
A SC/ST Act court in UP on March 17 ordered a probe into the allegation which states that actor Salman Khan and director Satish Kaushik cheated Lal Bihari Mritak, on whose life 'Kaagaz' movie has been made. Mritak said Kaushik had promised to narrate the story of the movie before filming it but the latter did not do it. Mritak added that the movie's name and his on-screen name were also changed without his permission.
